    diastasis recti is partial separation of the abdominal muscle(vertical line in the rectus abdominis muscle particularly the LInea Alba),while abs muscle provide support/stabilize your back during movement transition, what happen is the abdominal muscle is streched so it can’t further stabilize your back…usually if the separation is <2cm you can do partial sit-up with abdominal splintting,to protect the muscle and prevent furher sepation of the diastasis…
