I’m going through a lot with this… I’m at the size where I can hardly find anything in the juniors section. They top out at 15 if I can even find that. I’m about a 16-17. I don’t look big but my behind decides my pant size for me.
A lot of cheaper places like Target have sizes that go up to 17 and further, but they do not build jeans for fuller women. They take the same pattern from size 0’s and use them for 17 and up (super low rise). It allows the inevitable "muffin top". Anyway..
So I’ve tried the women’s section, and when I can find a jean that is small enough for me where they won’t fall off, they’re short on me, lack any boot cut shape at all, they’re straight, with no embellishments and baggy in all the wrong places.. not to mention the rise is like granny pants.
I’m discouraged to say the least… after 4 hours of shopping… nothing. I am forced to the notion that designers are prejudice against the larger women that haven’t had children yet.
Yes, I’m starting a diet and exercise program, but sadly I still need to be clothed and in a manner that fits my age.. I’m 23 and happily engaged to a wonderful man that doesn’t seem to understand why tears come to my eyes when I go clothes shopping. He tells me I’m beautiful but it’s hard to think that I am when he can put on anything he wants to and fit in it, and I’m stuck with whatever I happen to find that will fit.
Are there any stores that I could go to that are relatively easy to find in my area? I live in North Texas
Thanks!!
try torrid or lane bryant perhaps, and I think macys should have a plus size section

Try Torrids! They have a great fashionable line of plus size clothing! Just go to the stores website and see what you think!

Forever 21 has a plus size selection now, I’m not sure if you have one near you but they normally have really cute clothes. Also, if you’re just looking for jeans, I really like Levi’s and they come in so many different fits you can definitely find some that work for you. Good luck!
