How to Get Rid of Fat on Arms

How to get rid of fat on arms. Losing weight around the upper arms can be a difficult challenge for most people. Some women and men are worried that they will have too much excess fat after losing weight. While other people are scared that if they exercise their arms too much, they will end up with unwanted unnatural looking muscles.

There are a few exercises that can help and some aerobic fitness videos/DVDs have specific exercises for the upper arms. One exercise you could try is: Start by stretching your arms out at either side of you. Next, bring them downwards and across to the front of your chest and tummy until the arms just overlap each other. Finally, bring them back up again out to the side. Nice strong movements as you go will really help to tone the upper arms.

Another exercise you could try is holding your arms up, shoulder length apart with your elbows in front of you at shoulder level. Then slowly close the arms together in front of you and bring them back apart. Do this around ten times each time you decide to do them.

Overall, you should not need any fat surgically removed, only if you have a massive amount of excess skin. Surgery really is not a option for everyone and in my opinion only a last resort. People do ask me how to get rid of fat on arms, but you have to at the larger picture. A complete body weight loss program will be much more worthwhile.

I don’t think it is bad, but the hair will grow back thicker just as if you wax anything.

i dont think its bad because it’s hair just like your leg hairs and everything else. But it will leave your arms red for a while and it will hurt a lot because your arms are pretty sensitive. I suggest using a hair removal product like Nair instead

No not at all. Waxing is a good practise for hair removal. Over a period of time the growth slows down . also it kinda rips off the dead skin and gives a nice look. Its a bit painful but if you are really convinced with the advantages you can let go the pain. One more disadvantage is that small hair dont come out so the hair should grow to a certain length before you can wax.

OMG yes!!! i would never do it.. they grow back twice as bad and you then have to keep doing them…. its bad enough doing the parts of the body that we have to do on a regular basis without adding extra bits…

I would say so. I know some people that do that and it’s just a hassle. It grows back faster and it’s noticeable if you don’t rewax it right away. Legs are different with this b/c you can always get away with "fuzziness" now and then but arms have more contact with people during the day and its not that appealing.

waxing is awesome for brows, lip and bikini but seems like a lot of work and time for arms. If your really worried about arm hair you could try something like nair that you can do yourself…probably weekly. (nair doesn’t stink like it use to)

Can’t say from personal experience, but my friend built up the courage to get this done, she said that it didn’t hurt at all, no redness and not sore at all, and has taken a lot longer to grow back, also a lot finer.

I don’t know for sure, but I waxed my legs for ages (nearly three years) and I loved it! It lasted for weeks and despite warnings it did not come back worse (I cannot say the same for shaving- my blonde leg hair came back thick and dark and really quick)… I didn’t really find it painfull… I’m not going to lie, however, there is a short shot of pain, similar to getting slapped kind of hard, but I’m sure you’ll be fine waxing your arms, especially if your self-concious about hair there.
