I started an exercise program today. Both free weights and cardio. Should I alternate days for each?

I’m not trying to lose weight although if that happens, great. I just want to get healthier since I am 58yrs old. Should I do the 45mins of cardio one day and the free weights on alternate days or should I do them both daily?

you should alternate. maybe work the arms one day, the legs the next etc. over exerting the same muscles every day can cause damage. Definitely speak to your doctor before starting an exercise routine
