Total Fitness Is Easier Then You Think

While total fitness may sound like a huge commitment require hours and hours of exercise time, it’s really not. What it is really about is balance. Not the balance beam kind of balance, but more the balanced nutrition kind of balance. It means doing a variety of different exercise that have different goals in mind. Instead of just focusing on muscle mass, orcardio, or flexibility, total fitness means devoting a little time to each of these categories. While chances are that a single focused workout will have components of all these categories, the single focused work out really only focuses heavily on one thing. Total fitness workouts however are great for preparing you physically and mentally for participating in a wider range of sports and physical activities.

Total Fitness Road Map

It’s not complicated to modify your current workout to transform it into a total fitness workout. All you need to do, is find a little balance. The easiest way to do this, is to focus on one component of your total fitness workout each time you exercise. If you exercise say three times a week (Monday, Wednesday, Friday), as many do, you could do a strength workout on Monday, a cardio workout on Wednesday, and a flexibility workout on Friday. Of course if you workout more than 3 days a week, then you can just alternate each day with a different type of workout. Alternating workout types, allows muscles you use for one type of workout to recover while you work a new group of muscles with a different workout type.

A Little Heavy Breathing

When many people think of cardio workouts, they often thing of aerobics classes. While that is certainly a great workout, there are plenty of others as well. Many sports such as swimming, soccer, basketball, and squash are great forcardio . As well they can make exercising fun, and provide social interaction particularly with sports that are team based. If you prefer the structured class approach, there are a great variety of classes available these days, such as spinning and step exercise programs. Check with your local fitness club, to see what they offer.

Mountains Of Muscle

Whether you goal is to look like a champion body builder, or simply get stronger, your going to be lifting weights of some kind. Good fitness clubs should have a variety of lifting andresistance machines to build muscle mass and make you stronger. Often, they will have an introductory session for members who are unfamiliar with the machines. Doing weight training the right way, is safer for you, and will get you good results faster. So, if your not sure about how it works, be sure to ask.

Stretching Things Out

This is the one are that is often neglected by many. As you get older, this is probably one of the most important things you can do though. Good flexibility gives you the ability to do a wider variety of other physical activities, as well it helps reduce injuries when participating in sports. Yoga and Pilates are two excellent ways to achieve this component of your total fitness workout.

Achieving total fitness, is not really that hard, and like anything else, it gets easier with practice. The nice thing about each of these components, is that they compliment each other. The more flexible you get, the easier it gets to become stronger. The stronger you get, the easier it is to run that extra mile. Time to get started.

Careers after Fitness Training Schools

If you are interested in helping others to live rewarding and healthier lifestyles, you can join a fitness training school. Once you have completed the course, you can work towards improving the appearance and health of your clients. This could be achieved by helping them to adhere to strict diet and exercise routines and fitness programs.

Functions Of A Fitness Training School

There are several fitness training schools that provide students with the basic knowledge of physiology, anatomy, nutrition, homeostasis and metabolism. They also teach them how to design, manage and implement various fitness plans, conduct physical assessments and train their clients for health safety. You can develop the practical skills in the classroom, along with an externship program for professional training.

These schools prepare students to work with people belonging to different fitness levels and help them attain various goals. This could involve designing weight loss programs for middle aged overweight men and women, leading calisthenics workouts in nursing homes or gymnasiums, guiding world class athletes or preparing exercise routines for children who have special health issues. Students also learn to design anaerobic and aerobic exercises.

Requirements:

A fitness trainer needs to have an Associate of Science degree in sports, medicine, physiology, physical education, exercise science or any health care related field. Most positions require a Master of Science or Bachelor of Science degree.

Career Opportunities After Fitness Training School

1.Health Club Or Gym Instructor: Your salary will depend on the reputation of the gym or health club.
2.Freelance Fitness Trainer: Your clients will pay you directly. Fitness trainer salaries vary a lot. At the initial stages, you could expect around 16,000 dollars, annually. It all depends on the region, experience and education level.
3.Personal Trainer: If you become a personal trainer to movie stars and athletes, you can earn a six-figure salary.
4.Trainer At Private Spas, Cruises, Resorts Or Online: Your services could be employed by a particular chain or by visitors to a particular fitness website.
5.Fitness Writing, Consulting And Athletic Coaching: You could open your own gym or start group fitness instructions at any convenient venue.

Points To Remember

1.For a career in fitness training you need to be persistent, patient, motivating and organized. You should love working and interacting with all kinds of people.
2.You do not need to look like a bodybuilder to become a fitness trainer. However, you should make sure that you lead a healthy lifestyle and become a role model for your clients.
3.Get certified in specialty. It is not required, but it indicates an advanced level of understanding and in turn, enables you to quote higher rates for your services.
4.If you are not sure where you want to work, take some time to conduct research online.
5.If you want to join a club, call the local clubs and ask about their requirement for personal trainers.
6.Market yourself and improve your skills. You should attempt to take special fitness courses, to add quality to your resume. You should also attempt to make the most of available opportunities to acquire hands-on experience.

P90x

So you’ve seen the commercials, heard about it from your friends or colleagues, but you want to know what P90X REALLY is about. Not just “Oh man…it’s EXTREME!” Pull up a chair and I’ll give you an in depth look at the workout program that WILL change your life.

Let’s get right down to it and start with the workouts. Have you ever bought a workout video that was a half hour or forty-five minutes of a more talk than working out? Then the workout you do get is for beginners, or is better suited for your 12 year old? Yea, me too, but P90X is not it. First of all, they give you a full DVD on how to get the most of the workouts. The trainer, Tony Horton, gets serious, and gives you serious motivation to get the change in your body you are looking for. Then, they give you a whopping TWELVE DVDs. That’s twelve hour-long workouts! These guys are nuts! Not only are they twelve workouts, but also if you are not in shape like a professional athlete, you WILL NOT be able to finish the workouts. I’m serious, and so are the workouts. Their strength workouts are based on circuit type training. The strength workout DVDs are: chest and back; shoulders, triceps, bicep; back and legs; chest, shoulder, triceps; back and biceps and finally the “Ab Ripper X”, as they like to call it. Each one starts with a warm up and stretch, and each one has a cool down period…so you are completely done in 1 hour.

Now, I want to tell you about the chest and back a bit more. Basically, you rotate a chest exercise, then a back exercise. It starts out with pushups, then pull-ups. You will rotate regular grip, then wide grip then narrow grip and finally reverse grip (pull-ups). Tony then has you doing some decline and incline pushups, bent over rows, back flys and some crazy military push ups that the Navy SEALS have a hard time doing. There are of course a couple other exercises that I didn’t mention, but they are all variations of the above. So, with about 15 seconds rest in between each exercise, you finish the first round and you are SPENT! Then he says….”This is where most programs are finished….but not us! We’re not done!” And you look at the TV screen like..”Are you kidding me right now..I can’t even lift my arms over my head…..and you want me to get back on the pull up bar”??? Yea…that’s right…get back up there. But, don’t worry, about half way through the 90 days….you’re yelling back at the TV screen going…….bring it harder old man!!! (Oh yea..Tony is the most ripped 48 year old guy you have EVER seen….EVER!)

So, that about covers one DVD. The rest are more of the same torture (at first, then you realize you are a friggin’ animal, and begin to love that stuff). But wait, I’m not done! There are cardio workouts! Plyometrics, Yoga, Cardio X, and Core Synergistics. All of which will have you scraping the floor with your tongue if you are not already a marathon runner. Oh yea….I know someone who IS a marathon runner, and he STILL had trouble with these babies when he first started! Yea, these workouts are serious, so you should be too if you want to tackle them and get in the best shape of your life! Did I mention they give you a calendar and a workbook to track your progress and a 40-page guide to all of the workouts in addition to the DVDs? Yea…they do.

Let’s talk about the P90X nutrition plan now. So unless you are a professional athlete (actually….professional athletes can benefit from this nutrition guide too) you need this nutrition guide. It’s really like getting a masters degree in how our bodies work. After you read the P90X nutrition guide, you will want to sue someone every time you see the crap on TV and in the news about how to lose weight. Everyone is feeding us misinformation!! It’s crazy that the owners of these companies are not sent to jail!!! Because it’s a crime!! The P90X nutrition guide shows you IN DETAIL how EXACTLY to burn YOUR fat, and build YOUR muscle, not someone else’s fat and muscle. They take you step by step, calculate your energy requirements for rest, for exercise, for everything, then give you a solid number to hang your hat on, so you know every single day, that you are either losing fat, or not. In addition, they give you meal plans, down to the last calorie, carbohydrate and protein, so that you know EXACTLY what is going on in your body. No more guessing if you are losing weight because the scale might be wrong. The hell with the scale! You don’t need it! It’s throwing you off! Calculate your weight loss!! Then, in one month, look at it in your pictures….you will be astonished! In addition, P90X puts you on three different phases of your nutrition plan: a fat burning phase, a strength phase and an endurance phase. You can watch you body change each week in the mirror….it is totally crazy!!! They even give you an entire 90 days worth of meal recipes. If you don’t like those, they have a “Portion Plan”, so you can chose your own foods and still follow the plan. Of course, the online website has tons more recipes from other people that went through P90X who have submitted so others can benefit. This is the most complete, real, and healthy way to get super-fit that you will find anywhere…..I can guarantee that!!!

XENADRINE-NRG CNTR DSPLY 24SRV

What is it? New human study1 shows Xenadrine-Energy helps test group lose 4-times more body weight (average 4.84 lbs) and 3-times more body fat (average 5.87 lbs) in only 4 weeks! What does it do? Twenty (20) overweight, but otherwise, healthy women (18) and men (2) were randomly assigned to supplement their diet with a placebo (a simple cellulose pill) or with new Xenadrine Energy. Both groups followed a standardized diet provided by a registered dietitian that consisted of consuming approximately 10 kcals per pound of body weight per day, with a macronutrient profile of 40% carbohydrates, 30% protein and 30% fat. Both groups also took 2 or 3 tablets (depending on their bodyweight) of their respective supplement daily in the morning for a period of 4 weeks. Subjects selected for the study were currently involved in a supervised exercise program at a gym. To further minimize variables, test subjects were also required not to deviate from their current exercise program. All subjects were then tested for changes in body weight, lean muscle mass and fat mass via dual-energy x-ray absorptiometry before and after the 4-week period. At each time point, a comprehensive clinical chemistry profile on serum and plasma was also taken of each test subject. Significant results For a research study, a value of p 0.05 or lower means the results are statistically significant. In this study the p values surpassed this. The findings were as follows… Subjects in the Xenadrine Energy group lost 4 times more body weight (4.84 lbs;-2.7% from 80.85 13.0 to 78.65 13.0 kg;p
